Highlights
  • Ha Noi, the bustling capital of Vietnam, is a city steeped in history and culture. It seamlessly blends the old with the new, offering visitors a unique experience. The heart of the city is Hoan Kiem Lake, a serene and picturesque spot surrounded by ancient temples and modern cafes. The Old Quarter, with its narrow streets and traditional shops, is a vibrant area where you can truly experience the local way of life. History buffs will be fascinated by the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers a glimpse into Vietnam’s rich past. Another must-visit is the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh rests, drawing visitors from all over the country.
  • Hạ Long, located in Quang Ninh Province, is renowned for its breathtaking seascape. The name “Ha Long” means “Descending Dragon,” and the bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands covered in lush rainforests. A boat cruise is the best way to explore the bay, with stops at stunning caves like Sung Sot Cave and Thien Cung Cave, where you can marvel at impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The floating villages, such as Cua Van, offer a unique glimpse into the lives of communities that live and work on the water, maintaining traditional ways of life.
  • Sapa, nestled in the northern mountains of Vietnam, is a region famed for its dramatic landscapes and rich cultural tapestry. The iconic rice terraces create a stunning patchwork of green and gold on the hillsides, providing a feast for the eyes. The area is home to various ethnic minority groups, including the Hmong, who maintain their distinct cultural practices and crafts. A visit to Sapa isn’t complete without experiencing these ethnic villages, where you can learn about traditional customs and perhaps even participate in local festivals. For adventure seekers, Fansipan Mountain, the highest peak in Indochina, offers challenging treks and breathtaking panoramic views from the summit.
